What is "BioMass"?

The definition of BioMass according to the BioMass Energy Centre web site (www.biomassenergycentre.org.uk) is ...

"Biomass is biological material derived from living, or recently living organisms. In the context of biomass for energy this is often used to mean plant based material, but biomass can equally apply to both animal and vegetable derived material."

Biomass is a sustainable and renewable resource. It contains 20% (average) biomass from agriculture waste by-products. It has a lower carbon footprint by using post-consumer and/or post-industrial recycled plastic.
